Stacie Mountain, Intern
Hi! My name is Stacie. I’m pursuing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. I’ve completed my required coursework, and now I’m applying everything I’ve learned over the last 2 ½ years of Graduate-level classes to my internship here at 4 Rivers. My professional background is a mixture of health and wellness and emergency medicine. For the last 10+ years, I have worked in the health and wellness space as a Certified Professional Life Coach, Mind/Body Coach, Nutritionist, and Personal Trainer. Prior to that, I was a Nationally Registered EMT and worked on the ambulance for nearly two decades. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Missouri State University during that time, as well.
My goal as a counselor is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space for clients to facilitate healing and growth. I believe everyone has the capacity to change and heal past traumas, but sometimes it’s challenging to do it on our own. It takes immense courage to come to counseling. I want to honor that courage by supporting you and walking beside you through your journey. I take a holistic approach to mental health and wellness, as I believe mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health are intertwined. I incorporate Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), including Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), in counseling sessions. I have additional training in Somatic Experiencing, trauma, guided imagery, and behavior change.
I’m grateful to be a part of the 4 Rivers team. I look forward to supporting you and empowering you as you create a life that feels good to you.
